Têm sido comuns na Argentina os elogios à presidente do Brasil, Dilma Rousseff, principalmente por parte de jornalistas. Enquanto a brasileira demite ministros corruptos depois de averiguar denúncias feitas principalmente pelos meios de comunicação, por aqui as revelações da imprensa sobre o comportamento irregular dos políticos praticamente não têm consequências.

O caso mais recente envolve o vice-presidente da República, Amado Boudou, acusado pelo jornalista Jorge Lanata, da rádio Mitre e do jornal “Perfil”, de beneficiar um amigo de adolescência. Alejandro Paul Vandenbroele teria sido favorecido por um contrato de sua empresa com o governo nacional, para imprimir notas de 100 pesos.

A notícia vem sendo ampliada pelos meios críticos ao governo sem que até agora surja nenhuma explicação por parte da cúpula. Não é de se admirar, afinal diversas irregularidades vêm à público todas as semanas por meio da imprensa, e o governo via de regra se cala.

Entre os casos mais famosos, está o do enriquecimento ilícito do casal Kirchner, a empresa de consultoria econômica que comanda o filho de ambos, Máximo, e o emprego de parentes dos membros do grupo kirchnerista La Cámpora no governo. Mais recentemente, causou espanto o escândalo dos espaços de prostituição que tinham lugar em imóveis do juiz mais importante da Corte Suprema, Eugenio Zaffaroni.

Nenhum desses casos teve até agora uma resposta à altura do governo. Não houve CPI nem declarações públicas ou desmentidos. Jornalistas argentinos costumam referir-se ao Brasil com admiração, como um lugar onde sua profissão joga um papel importante no jogo democrático. Para eles, perto da Argentina kirchnerista, o Brasil é um exemplo de institucionalidade.
