Vinicius, Tenorinho e Buenos Aires

No próximo fim-de-semana, o poeta Vinicius de Moraes será lembrado em Buenos Aires, no ano de seu centenário (1913-1980). Além de mesas-redondas na Feira do Livro Internacional, que começa amanhã, será tema de shows, um de seu tradicional parceiro, Toquinho, outro de sua neta, Mariana. Na última segunda, a cantora recifense Josi Dias, radicada em Buenos Aires, desfilou um “greatest hits” de sua obra no Notorious, tradicional casa de shows dedicados à música popular brasileira.

A relação de Vinicius com Buenos Aires é de um forte vínculo, artístico, pessoal e também, infelizmente, trágico. O poeta frequentou muito a cidade no final dos anos 60 e nos anos 70, depois de ter trabalhado na embaixada do Brasil no Uruguai nos anos 1950. Em 1968, estreou no teatro Opera, na avenida Corrientes, famoso reduto boêmio da cidade.

Vinicius tinha um circuito de hotéis, bares e casas de amigos que frequentava, na Recoleta e no centro, mas o lugar que mais o celebrizou aqui foi o café-concerto La Fusa.

“Era uma fase ruim para ele no Brasil. Era contestado por não falar de política e por cantar o amor e a mulher quando havia desaparecidos no Brasil. Aqui, ele ficou mais à vontade”, disse Wenner em uma entrevista que publiquei na Ilustrada, no ano passado. Vinicius frequentou Buenos Aires num momento em que o Brasil já vivia uma ditadura (1964-1985), enquanto a Argentina só entraria na sua em 1976.

Por uma coincidência oportuna, Vinicius está sendo lembrado agora também pelo fato de a Comissão da Verdade brasileira ter começado a investigar as mortes de brasileiros no país, na época da repressão. Isso porque, em 18 de março de 1976, seis dias antes do golpe militar argentino, o pianista Tenório Jr., que então fazia shows com Vinicius na cidade, saiu do hotel em que se hospedava à noite. Foi sequestrado e levado a um centro de detenção. Nunca mais voltou.

 

A história não ficou completamente esclarecida, mas a explicação mais provável é que ele tenha sido confundido com um guerrilheiro argentino e, quando os repressores se deram conta, era tarde demais.

A família de Tenorinho foi indenizada pelo governo argentino, mas os detalhes da sua detenção e morte não vieram nunca à tona. Agora, uma nova luz surge com relação ao caso com a ação da comissão. Em visita a Buenos Aires, o líder da comissão, Paulo Sergio Pinheiro, disse que a chancelaria argentina havia disponibilizado arquivos e documentos ao Brasil que podem ajudar a esclarecer o caso.
