A primeira coluna que escrevi quando cheguei a Buenos Aires para ser correspondente da Folha, em julho de 2011, tinha o título de “Crispación” (www1.folha.uol.com.br/colunas/sylviacolombo/949424-crispacion.shtml) e falava dos ânimos exaltados dos argentinos em período eleitoral. Na ocasião, o roqueiro Fito Páez dizia que parte de Buenos Aires lhe dava “asco”, referindo-se aos eleitores do direitista Maurício Macri.

Passagens como esta se acumularam nesses quase dois anos, mas atingiram seu índice mais alto, pelo menos na minha percepção, nas últimas semanas. O kirchnerismo, se é um avanço para a Argentina em áreas como os direitos humanos ou das minorias, certamente não o é no que diz respeito a melhorar a convivência entre os que são de uma orientação ideológica ou de outra.

Há cerca de um mês, Cristina Kirchner discutiu publicamente com o mais famoso ator de cinema do país, Ricardo Darín, numa troca de faíscas que ultrapassou os limites do diálogo civilizado. Nos últimos dias, funcionários de seu governo vêm sendo alvo de insultos e xingamentos públicos.

O caso mais escandaloso envolve o vice-ministro da Economia, Axel Kicillof. Figura odiada pela classe média, está por trás da estatização da petrolífera YPF e das políticas de cerco ao dólar. O suficiente para que uma ida sua de passeio a uma cidade turística uruguaia revoltasse parte de seus compatriotas.

Kicillof voltava de um fim de semana em Colônia do Sacramento à bordo de um barco da companhia Buquebus. Logo, alguns passageiros começaram com as vaias, que se transformaram em xingamentos: “Ladrão”, “filho da puta”, “cara de pau”. Acuado num canto da embarcação, o funcionário tratava de tentar proteger do vexame pelo menos seus filhos, duas crianças, a quem ele e a mulher agarravam no colo. Depois de um tempo, funcionários da empresa levaram a família para um lugar mais privado. O caminho até ele foi árduo, as pessoas não paravam de gritar e muitas tiravam fotos ou filmavam.

Na mesma semana, o jornalista Nelson Castro, um anti-kirchnerista empedernido, foi expulso de um bar em que se encontrava, pois o dono disse que o considerava uma “persona non grata”. Castro, em entrevista à Folha, disse que o momento que o país vive é de uma “polarização preocupante”, que poderia descambar para episódios de violência social. “Não vivemos isso desde os anos 50, época em que o peronismo rachou a sociedade. A culpa de episódios como este de Kicillof e o meu é do governo.”

Ontem, a presidente veio à público pedir “tolerância”. Parece, infelizmente, que quer tentar cuidar da ferida depois de ela mesma tê-la causado. Insuflar uma sociedade tão politizada como a argentina a cultivar a cisão é, no mínimo, uma atitude irresponsável de sua parte. O que ocorreu a Axel Kicillof deveria servir de ponto de partida para uma reflexão sobre o impacto que o kirchnerismo está causando na coletividade.
