O casamento de Marta Minujín

“Se você vive no absurdo, o tempo passa mais rápido”, diz Marta Minujín ao descer de sua carruagem de noiva, esta noite, diante do Malba (Museo de Arte Latino-americano de Buenos Aires). A maior artista plástica popular da Argentina completou 70 anos, e resolveu comemorar “casando-se” com a arte, em mais uma de suas performances artísticas. “Só que em vez de lua de mel, vou à Lua, como todos os dias… Vou e volto”.

Foi com frases assim que Minujín brindou o público que foi cantar “Parabéns à Você” diante do museu, onde concedeu breves entrevistas aos jornalistas. Chegou de vestido branco, acompanhada por damas-de-honra que usavam seu óculos colorido tipo persiana, criado nos anos 60.

Não é à toa que Minujín resolveu comemorar seu aniversário na rua. Sua obra está bastante vinculada à vida da cidade. Em 1978, em plena ditadura militar, a artista teve a coragem de montar seu “Obelisco de Pan Dulce”, uma grande versão debochada do maior monumento de Buenos Aires, que depois ficou na rua para ser devorado.

Minujín se especializou em “happenings” e performances. Quando foram homenageá-la, em 2011, na grande retrospectiva de sua carreira, os curadores tiveram dificuldades para recriar suas obras, muitas delas a artista deixou que fossem consumidas pelo fogo. Seu primeiro “happening” foi em 1963, quando chamou amigos para verem queimar seu trabalho. A noite terminou em confusão, com a intervenção dos bombeiros e da polícia.

Entre outros trabalhos importantes de Minujín estão “El Pago de la Deuda Externa Argentina con Maíz” (o pagamento da dívida externa com milho), ao lado de Andy Warhol, e o divertido “Minuphone”, originalmente realizado em Nova York em 1967. A princípio, era uma cabine telefônica clássica. Só que, uma vez dentro dela, a pessoa começa a ser atormentada por sua própria imagem vista numa tela de televisão no chão, enquanto, ao marcar números, ouve sons e vê luzes diferentes.

“Me caso com a arte e me diverte a ideia de que já não tenho mais muito tempo”, declarou, antes de soprar as velinhas do imenso bolo colorido para os convidados. Em tempos de tanto mau humor causado por cisões políticas, a comemoração de Minujín mostra que a Argentina não é só o Fla-Flu ideológico. Fazem falta mais artistas como ela.
