“Tese sobre um Homicídio”
Propagandeado como um novo “O Segredo de Seus Olhos”, filme argentino vencedor do Oscar de melhor estrangeiro em 2009, “Tesis Sobre un Homicídio” (Hernán Golfrid), que estreou semana passada em Buenos Aires, deixa um pouco a desejar.
Talvez a principal razão seja essa mesmo. A produção tenta pegar carona nos elementos que fizeram do thriller histórico-policial de Juan José Campanella um êxito. Estão ali os mesmos ingredientes: o assassinato brutal de uma mulher, o ambiente do mundo da polícia e da Justiça, Darín no papel do que investiga e busca justiça e um quebra-cabeças psicológico. Tudo isso num cenário filmado de maneira programada para “vender” Buenos Aires: o velho e lindo edifício da faculdade de Direito, o café Modena, o Malba, um espetáculo do grupo Fuerza Bruta e outros.
“Tesis” tem um bom roteiro e um bom argumento. Darín é Roberto, um advogado que dá aulas num concorrido seminário na faculdade de direito. Sua especialidade é o direito criminal e sua “tese” é a de que um crime se revela nos detalhes. Entre seus alunos na atual temporada, está Gonzalo (Alberto Amman), um arrogante jovem talento que se diverte armando ciladas retóricas para o mestre.
Eis que, no meio de uma das aulas, um brutal assassinato ocorre nas ruas. Uma jovem que trabalhava no café em frente é morta, e o assassino deixa uma mensagem: “Morte a mulheres como ela”. Roberto se envolve com o caso. Um dos primeiros a chegar na cena do crime, repara, justamente, em seus detalhes, a corrente com uma borboleta, o modo como foi asfixiada, a violência da morte. Alguns deles vão lhe dando a sensação de que seu assassinato é mais do que um crime sangrento, compõe um enigma no qual seu aluno Gonzalo é mais do que peça-chave. Ambos, Roberto e Gonzalo, concentram-se na figura da irmã da vítima, Laura (Calu Rivero), como meio de atingir um ao outro, até que a verdade sobre o caso vêm à tona.
Se o roteiro é bem amarrado, e Darín um grande ator, o resto do filme não faz jus ao patamar alcançado pela mais importante estrela do cinema nacional. As demais interpretações são fracas, a produção é pobre, e os produtores parecem ter noção disso, pois focam o tempo todo nas expressões e reações de Darín, como se isso lhes garantisse o sucesso da produção. Infelizmente, não basta.
