Onde andam os bons ares de Buenos Aires? Certamente, não no centro da cidade e em bairros como Santelmo, Recoleta e Palermo. Um duplo conflito político tem feito o ar da cidade ser quase irrespirável em algumas ruas, além de atrapalhar o trânsito e estragar a paisagem dessa linda cidade.

Nos últimos meses, tem havido conflitos entre sindicalistas ligados à área de limpeza. Divididos entre governistas e não-governistas, eles recolhem o lixo dependendo das relações entre seus chefes. Estes, são nada menos que a presidente Cristina Kirchner, o prefeito, Mauricio Macri, e o governador, Daniel Scioli.

Cristina quer dinamitar o poder de Macri e dobrar Buenos Aires. Sua ideia é fazê-lo desistir de tentar ser presidente da República em 2015. Já Macri, político insosso e sem pulso, peca por deixar tão evidente seu despreparo e desinteresse. Há poucas semanas, quando a cidade enfrentava um dilúvio e o lixo flutuava descontrolado pelas ruas, ele posava para fotos ao lado da banda Kiss, que visitava o país. Já Scioli, também pré-candidato, quer limitar a quantidade de lixo que a cidade leva aos aterros em seus arredores. Nestes, as condições são precárias, e atravessá-los por meio da estrada que o corta é de revirar o estômago, tamanho o mau cheiro.

Em época de temperaturas a quase 30 graus, Buenos Aires tem sofrido ainda mais com o problema. Caminhar pelas ruas do centro é uma aventura, é preciso desviar das disformes montanhas de lixo e segurar a respiração para não inalar o fedor. Quando chove, e tem chovido muito, os buracos das ruas são tapados pelos detritos, fazendo com que a água transborde para todos os lados, inundando blocos inteiros.

Temos pelo menos ainda dois meses de calor intenso. Se os problemas políticos persistirem, os portenhos estarão agoniados e torcendo para que o inverno chegue logo. Se não para curtir uma piscina, pelo menos para respirar aliviados.
