Mexicanos nas ruas
A uma semana das eleições que escolherão novo presidente e renovarão o Congresso, os mexicanos saíram às ruas para protestar ou apoiar opções. No sábado, ocorreu no D.F. o concerto promovido pelos jovens do movimento “#yosoy132”, que irrompeu nas últimas semanas e que tem como principais bandeiras opor-se ao retorno do PRI (Partido Revolucionário Institucional) e questionar a participação da Televisa no jogo político.
Os jovens, conhecidos como “enojados” (bravos), uma referência aos “indignados” promoveram uma marcha também no domingo, pedindo que os eleitores não votem no priísta Peña Nieto. Suas manifestações não são muito numerosas, reúnem de 5 a 15 mil pessoas, mas seu gesto de repúdio transformou-se num símbolo importante para a sociedade. De fato, nas últimas semanas, a liderança de Peña Nieto, ainda que não ameaçada por enquanto, sofreu um abalo. Antes, as pesquisas o apontavam com mais de 20 pontos de diferença com relação ao segundo colocado. Agora, algumas já o colocam com apenas 4 pontos de dianteira.
O segundo colocado, que até um mês atrás era a candidata da situação, Josefina Vázquez Mota, agora voltou a ser o esquerdista Andrés Manuel López Obrador, também derrotado em 2006, por uma diferença mínima de votos, para o conservador Felipe Calderón (PAN).
Nesses últimos dias de campanha, os candidatos realizam comícios quase todos os dias. Peña Nieto encerrou sua campanha para milhares de seguidores num lotado Estádio Azteca, na Cidade do México. Em 30 minutos de discurso, pediu que seus eleitores não aceitem provocações, e reiterou que sua proposta é nova e moderna, em resposta aos críticos que veem como um retrocesso o retorno do PRI, que ficou mais de 70 anos no poder.
Já Josefina Vázquez Mota foi a Chiapas, e garantiu que as pesquisas estão erradas, e que sua posição é muito melhor do que demonstram os números. A ex-ministra da educação, que usa as figuras de Margaret Thatcher e Dilma Rousseff como referência, pediu o voto feminino.
Enquanto isso, o candidato da esquerda, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, que galgou em semanas o segundo posto, prepara para quarta-feira sua última cartada. Será um encontro de seus apoiadores, a maioria jovens, no Zócalo, principal praça da cidade. Vai ser um retorno de AMLO, como é conhecido, com o lugar onde, há seis anos, protestou contra os resultados da eleição na qual Felipe Calderón foi vitorioso. Derrotado por uma diferença mínima de votos, o esquerdista alegou fraude e foi às ruas, comandou cortes de avenidas e ficou acampado semanas no Zócalo. Agora, com um perfil mais moderado e inspirado no “Lula Paz e Amor”, volta à praça para pedir o voto popular.
Nas ruas da Cidade do México, conhecida como D.F., a propaganda eleitoral é volumosa e colorida. Lembra a do Brasil de outros tempos. Um excesso de lambe-lambes, pôsteres coloridos e outdoors causam confusão visual. Na televisão, os spots também abusam da paciência do espectador, são verborrágicos, ruidosos e coloridos. Até quinta-feira, quando começa o veto à propaganda, os candidatos querem ter feito o possível para entrar na casa e na cabeça das pessoas. Afinal, segundo as pesquisas, existem cerca de 18% de indecisos nesta que é a segunda maior democracia da América Latina, com quase 80 milhões de eleitores.
