Os kirchneristas e o dólar

Enquanto o governo baixa medidas para restringir o acesso ao dólar oficial e se lança no que chama de “batalha cultural” contra a obsessão dos argentinos em economizar em dólares, vários altos funcionários do governo não escondem que fazem investimentos na moeda norte-americana.

Em suas declarações juradas oficiais, a presidente Cristina Kirchner disse que possui US$ 3 milhões, seu vice, Amado Boudou, US$ 145.600, o chanceler Héctor Timerman, US$ 331.987, o ministro do Desenvolvimento, Julio De Vido, US$ 20.500, e até o chefe da Afip (a Receita Federal argentina) declarou ter US$ 106.905.

Nos últimos dias, vários membros do governo saíram para defender as medidas, de uma forma pouco usual. Em casos de outras normas também polêmicas, as explicações foram muito sucintas. O dólar, porém, que mexe tanto com o humor dos argentinos, mereceu mais atenção.

Juan Manuel Abal Medina, o chefe de gabinte, falou anteontem ao Senado, dizendo que o alarmismo contra as medidas era obra do grupo Clarín, que era hora de o país resolver o “problema cultural” que era a fixação por dólares, e lembrou a todos que a moeda nacional é o peso. Já a presidente Cristina fez duras críticas a especuladores e aos ricos, que economizam nessa divisa.

Questionado por suas economias em dólar, o senador kirchnerista Aníbal Fernández saiu do tom e acabou sendo advertido por Cristina. Apesar de defender a pesificação pregada pelo governo, disse que não venderia seus dólares pelo valor oficial (4,40 pesos) se o paralelo está a quase 6. “Eu os comprei legalmente, não me peçam que faça coisas de idiota”, disse o ex-chefe de gabinete, que declarou ter US$ 24 mil. “Não sou um louco que tenho que ir vender meus dólares batendo no peito num falso patriotismo e perdendo dinheiro”, completou.

Em um discurso, ontem, Cristina foi dura com os que economizam em dólar, mas não disse nada de suas próprias reservas: “Todos nós gostamos de ter sempre mais. É natural isso, uma conduta do homem, não vamos descobrir a pólvora assim, mas me parece que, quando isso ultrapassa determinados limites, vai além da condição humana de querer mais a irracionalidade de acreditar que tudo é possível. Acreditem em mim, ninguém vai levar nada para o além.”
