Não é a primeira vez que “souvenires” contra o meio são distribuídos. O secretário de Comércio Interior, Guillermo Moreno, por exemplo, costuma distribuir alfajores a visitantes que levam esses mesmos dizeres.

Em sua página no Facebook, o homem da foto, Maurício Benítez, que pertence ao grupo JP Evita, diz: “Às crianças que nada têm, um sorriso é uma tonelada de ouro. As fotos das meias do ‘Clarín’, que circulou por todos os lados, não têm a intenção de fazer política, além da mensagem que estava nelas. As crianças todo o tempo pedem água, gorros, comida, roupa e trabalho.”
