De olho na Espanha

Não, não se trata de novo da novela sobre a expropriação da YPF, subsidiária da Repsol espanhola. Hoje, os olhos dos argentinos estarão voltados para o futebol espanhol. Definem a Liga Europa, em Bucareste, dois times do país ibérico que têm treinadores argentinos. E o debate sobre qual é o melhor já domina as conversas de rua e cafés de Buenos Aires.

De um lado, está Diego “Cholo” Simeone, técnico do Atlético de Madrid. Aos 42 anos, o ex-treinador do Racing e volante da seleção argentina vive uma boa fase no clube da capital espanhola, depois de tirá-lo de um período de ressaca após a saída dos ídolos Diego Forlán e Kun Agüero.

De outro, Marcelo “Loco” Bielsa e seu animado Athletic de Bilbao. A equipe do país basco, que mantém a tradição de não contratar nenhum jogador que não seja nativo da região, acostumou-se tão bem ao estilo do extravagante argentino que conseguiu não só um lugar na final do torneio europeu como vai disputar a Copa do Rei contra o temido Barcelona, no próximo dia 25.

Bielsa e sua fama de treinador extravagante, que submete seus jogadores a longuíssimas palestras e sessões de vídeos, tem a admiração dos argentinos. Mesmo depois de comandar a seleção que fracassou na primeira fase na Copa de 2002 (da qual Simeone fazia parte), o treinador fascina seus conterrâneos pelo estilo malucão e pela trajetória vitoriosa.

Na Espanha, Bielsa conquistou a torcida do Athletic, como relatei em viagem a esse país, em março (www1.folha.uol.com.br/esporte/1066870-sensacao-na-europa-bielsa-ganha-na-argentina-unanimidade-que-messi-nao-tem.shtml). Mas quem fez um trabalho mais divertido sobre o fenômeno foi o programa “CQC” argentino, que foi a Bilbao, entrevistou torcedores do time e constrangeu de forma simpática o treinador numa coletiva.

O país de Messi hoje se esquece um pouco do ídolo do Barcelona para colocar os olhos em Bucareste (Romênia), onde acontece a batalha entre “el Cholo” e “el Loco”. Se para os europeus a final é espanhola, para os argentinos não passa de uma decisão caseira entre mestre e aprendiz.
