Numa noite de inverno de 1976, o autor, então com treze anos, estava tocando piano em sua casa, em La Plata, quando um grupo de repressores chegou. Educados e bem-vestidos, tocaram a campainha, entraram e revistaram a casa.

Num misto de medo, surpresa e nervosismo, Brizuela continuou tocando, durante os cerca de quinze minutos em que o grupo permaneceu ali. Depois, surpreendentemente, esqueceria o episódio por muitos anos.
