Uma alternativa para as Malvinas

Um grupo de 17 importantes intelectuais argentinos apresentou um manifesto em que pede uma “revisão crítica” da Guerra das Malvinas, que completa 30 anos em abril.

O texto surge em resposta às ações do governo Cristina Kirchner, que voltou a reivindicar com dureza a soberania das ilhas em fóruns internacionais. A Argentina, derrotada no conflito, quer recuperar o arquipélago, causa considerada como “política de Estado” pela mandatária. Os britânicos recusam-se a negociar, apesar de haver uma determinação das Nações Unidas nesse sentido, porque dizem que o desejo de auto-determinação dos habitantes das ilhas deve ser respeitado.

“Malvinas – Uma Visão Alternativa”, assinado por Luis Alberto Romero, Beatriz Sarlo, Pepe Eliaschev, Jorge Lanata e Santiago Kovadloff, entre outros, diz que é necessário promover um exame da relação da sociedade com os ex-combatentes, do “injustificável uso da força em 1982” e do fato de que a derrota na guerra tem consequências de longo prazo.

Afirma, ainda, que é preciso reconhecer que a obsessiva repetição do lema “As Malvinas São Argentinas” é um sinal de ignorância. Por fim, diz que a voz dos “kelpers” (habitantes das ilhas) precisa ser, afinal, ouvida.

Agora, os membros do grupo buscam mais apoio via rede, enquanto seguidores do governo se revoltam. Nos últimos dias, políticos kirchneristas chamaram os signatários de “intelectuais baratos”, enquanto no Twitter, foram rotulados de “traidores”.
