Goya e o juiz Garzón

A grande festa do cinema em língua hispânica acontece no próximo domingo, em Madrid, na entrega do prêmio Goya, o Oscar dos “hispanoparlantes”. Enquanto a edição deste ano terá como atração o retorno de Pedro Almodóvar, com o super-favorito “A Pele que Habito”, a produção latino-americana chega com fortes candidatos.

Entre eles, o simpático “Um Conto Chinês”, com o onipresente Ricardo Darín, o último blockbuster do cinema argentino. Sucesso de bilheteria também no Brasil, o filme conta a história de um veterano das Malvinas, misantropo e cheio de manias, que tem de ajudar um chinês perdido na cidade. Também concorre ao prêmio de melhor produção ibero-americana o chileno “Violeta se Fue a los Cielos”, que tem co-produção brasileira. O filme é uma bela cinebiografia da cantora chilena Violeta Parra, ícone da cultura popular do país, que se suicidou aos 50 anos. Foi campeão de bilheteria no Chile e na Argentina, países em que foi exibido até agora. Completam a competição o cubano “Boleto al Paraíso” e o mexicano “Miss Bala”.

Entre os documentários, a expectativa é pelo desempenho de “Escuchando al Juez Garzón”, de Isabel Coixet (“A Vida Secreta das Palavras”), com o escritor Manuel Rivas. É esperado que a produção ganhe, como repúdio à condenação do juiz Baltasar Garzón, que lutou contra o ETA, o narcotráfico e os ditadores, mas foi afastado neste mês de suas funções por onze anos pela justiça espanhola.

Grande parte dos artistas espanhóis estão apoiando Garzón e questionando a decisão da justiça espanhola em tempos de governo conservador. É possível que o Goya seja mais um palco de demonstrações de carinho ao juiz que conseguiu mandar prender o ditador Augusto Pinochet em Londres, em 1999.
